Odawa Casino Resort

The Odawa Casino Resort is a casino and hotel located in Petoskey, Michigan. The casino resort is owned and operated by the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians. The owners of the Odawa casino also own another casino that is less than an hour drive away.

The other casino, which is much smaller, is located in Mackinaw City, and it is called the Odawa Casino Mackinaw City.

The main Odawa Casino Resort located in Petoskey was built in 2006 and was renovated in 2014. The new casino replaced the Victories Casino, which also belonged to the tribe.

The new casino resort occupies 300,000 square feet, with 50,000 square feet reserved for gaming. There are 137 rooms in the hotel with 10 suites. Apart from the rooms, there are conference rooms for meetings.

There are plans underway to expand and possibly add another hotel, but nothing has been officially announced.

According to the Petoskey News, the Odawa Casino is considering entering the online gaming industry. No concrete plans have been laid out yet, but fans of online gaming should remain hopeful.

A spokesperson for the Odawa Casino said at the end of 2019 that the tribe was speaking with online gaming platforms. He mentioned most casino management groups don’t have the expertise or technology to execute online gambling, which is why they have been looking to partner with third parties to implement a digital platform.

The Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians have currently secured partnerships with PointsBet, an online sports betting platform. The tribe has also partnered with PokerStars (The Stars Group), an online gaming platform that offers poker, sports betting, blackjack and other games.
