Saganing Eagles Landing Casino and Resort

Saganing Eagles Landing Casino and Resort features slots, an RV park and retail and dining options for visiting gamblers.

The casino was opened Dec. 31, 2017, so the buildings and amenities are new and give a fresh experience to tourists or bettors who may be tired of going to casinos featuring older hotels and gambling equipment.

The casino is owned by the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan. In addition to the Saganing Eagles Landing Casino and Resort and the Eagle Bay Marina in Standish, the tribe operates the following gaming and recreational facilities on its property in Mt. Pleasant:

  • Soaring Eagle Casino
  • Soaring Eagle Waterpark and Hotel
  • Soaring Eagle Hideaway RV Park
  • Waaboose Run Golf Course
  • Retreat at Soaring Eagle

The revenue from the tribes’ properties is reinvested into the tribe for education and other purposes.

The casino is located on the Isabella Indian Reservation which is in the central lower peninsula of Michigan.

The casino features 800 slot machines in addition to virtual gaming and table games like blackjack and roulette.

Players Club

The Players Club allows gamblers to use a single-access loyalty card to earn and redeem points for premium play and reward dollars. These points can be earned as players gamble and redeemed at all of the Saginaw Chippewa tribe’s properties.

Different games give out points at different rates.

Bingo gives out the most points per $1 of cash or credit spent. Players can earn 20 points per $1 spent on bingo so it’s a great option if you’re trying to accumulate points and also enjoy playing the game.

Hotel rooms or RV space give out points at 10 points per $1 spent. For many tourists, hotel rooms are a necessity so it’s wise to join the Players Club and earn points for something you’ll be buying anyway.

Dining, spa, golf, gift shops and shows all payout at four points per $1 spent. Like the hotel rooms or RV space, these are all amenities that many casino players will spend money on anyways.

Slot machines payout at two points per $1 spent. These pay out more than other gambling alternatives besides bingo and are easy and fast to play, which makes them a good option for earning points on your Players Club card.

Video poker pays out the least at one point per $1 spent. Even though video poker doesn’t pay out as many points as other alternatives, it’s still worth signing up for the Players Club if you’re an avid video poker fan.

The Players Club also includes the other following perks:

  • Personalized direct mail offers
  • Premium play for slots and table games
  • Dining dollars
  • Complimentary overnight stays
  • Exclusive invitations to tournaments and VIP events

The Casino

The Casino has 800 slot machines and video poker machines, including the following:

  • Lucky Buddha allows you to collect power-ups based on your line hits instead of collecting wilds, making it different from other slot machines.
  • Discovery Shark Week makes the player feel like they’re underwater surrounded by sea life as they play the slot machine to try to win some money.
  • Yardbirds 3 is a slot machine that’s funnily enough centered around a chicken theme. The laid back approach makes it easy for players to relax and enjoy.
  • Heart and Horns has a jackpot reels feature that activates when a player lands three or more heart symbols. A cherub symbol can trigger free games.

The Hotel

The hotel at Saganing Eagles Landing Casino and Resort features several different room types. Tourists and gambling veterans can enjoy staying in this luxurious hotel during their casino trip in one of the following rooms:

The standard room has the option of a king bed or two queen beds. The bathroom has a shower but does no bathtub. The room also has a coffee maker, iron and 55-inch flat-screen TV. The room doesn’t have a microwave or fridge though.

The king suite features a great view of Saginaw Bay that customers can see from the comfort of their bed. The suite has a half bath, mini-fridge and television to keep customers occupied during their downtime.

A full-size sofa sleeper is also in the suite to accommodate any extra guests you may choose to bring.

A great benefit of planning a vacation centered around both the casino and resort is anyone who books a hotel room will receive $25 in premium play and dining credit that can be applied towards the casino or one of Saganing Eagles Landing Casino and Resort restaurants.

If you’re in a rush or just like to keep an unusual schedule, Aerie Cafe is open seven days a week, 24 hours a day for your dining needs.

The menu at Aerie Cafe is very diverse and can fit the needs of anyone who wants to enjoy a bite. The menu features breakfast, pizza, and deli options in addition to dessert options for those with a sweet tooth.

The Creekside Lounge features a bar and a cafe. TVs are located throughout the lounge with a clear view from every seat so you can enjoy watching while trying their mozzarella sticks or chicken wings. The lounge is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The Landing has morning, lunch and evening menus to satisfy customers at all parts of the day. Breakfast is served from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Lunch is served from noon to 4:30 p.m. and dinner is served from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The Landing also features daily promotions like prime rib Saturdays during which you can get a 10-ounce slow-roasted prime rib, sauteed seasoned vegetables, a choice of potatoes and bread and butter for $18.

Catering options are also available for events outside of the casino and resort.

RV Park

If you want a chance to get away from the casino, the resort also features an RV park so you and your family can get some outdoor time.

The RV resort offers a great chance for gamblers to get the best of both words—a great gambling experience inside a casino and an outdoor experience with a chance to reconnect with nature.

Patrons can stay at the RV park for $20 a night and the park features 50 sites. Some of the sites are 20-feet-by-60-feet and some are 30-by-40 so you can choose the site that suits your RV.

Electric hookups are available year-round but water hookups are only available from April 1 to Oct. 31. Picnic tables, a dump station and free portable grills are available during your stay so you can get a camping experience while being close to the casino.

For reservations call 989-775-5936 or email [email protected]

Eagle Marina

The Eagle Marina is only minutes away from the Saganing Casino and has a shuttle available to take patrons back and forth.

The marina has a deep entry channel, a launch ramp that can handle four launches and 60 slips next to the floating docks. The full-service facility is located in a great area for fishing.

The marina features a picnic area, a covered pavilion and a scenic lighthouse in addition to a ship store with all the essential items you’ll need for a day out on the water and where you can also fuel up your boat.

The marina also sells watercraft rentals, including kayaks, pontoon and canoes, so you can enjoy time on the lake even if you don’t have a boat of your own.

Boat and trailer storage is available to help accommodate travelers and fishers.
